Description
Triangular handle ornament decorated w relief 7-petaled palmette rising from floral base in 2 parts: small lotiform device at base of palmette from which leafy scrolls extend out to near edges. Originally painted all over exterior with paint extending onto back.
State of Preservation
Mended from 2 or 3 fragments. Badly worn , so that paint, particularly on relief decoration, spotty. Was once held together with tape, glue from which visible as broad band diagonally across front to back.
