Description
Limestone fragment of most of metope & 2/3 of triglyph w 6 guttae to viewer's left. Metope completely filled with relief bull's head rendered in "primitive" fashion: forelock multiple V's facing upward, eyes relief globes surrounded by concentric half circles, flesh of muzzle multiple catenaries w deeply-carved nostrils; fillet on forehead and hanging down pres side, triangular relief lappet w relief Greek cross in center on forehead. Rasp marks prominent on triglyph & flat band below metope & triglyph.
State of Preservation
Two large fragments stabilized w painted plaster. Outer band of triglyph badly chipped, chipping of other original edges.

Core ca 10YR 8/2 (white); surface 10YR 7/3 (very pale brown) but variegated.
